«Hunsøya» is the name of the other half of Hunsøya in Vennesla. The area was bought by God Driv in 2006, and after a long process was finally designated for housing and commerce in 2019. Hunsøya has the status of a town centre area, and in the long term, approximately 30,000 m2 will be developed for commercial use, together with about 500 homes. Groundwork is expected to start in 2022, and the opening of a new shopping centre in 2024. Taken together with Hunsfos Business Park, the project is one of the largest town centre developments in Norway.
